COCOMAINE serves one of the largest immigrant communities. Immigrants face many chalenges when trying to settle in a new country. New arrivals are unfamiliar with the culture and language, and in many cases, have left behind family.
COCOMAINE is a volunteer and community-led organization that provide gap-filling, culturally-competent services to new immigrants by acting as cultural brokers between existing programs, filling-service gaps, and relieving the overwhelm of new arrival.
Together, we can create a welcoming environment for immigrants in Maine, ensuring that they have the support and ressources they need to thrive.
